Retired Air Force Officer's Wife Found Dead at Home in Mirpur DOHS

The wife of a retired Air Force officer has been found dead at their residence in the Mirpur DOHS area of Dhaka, according to police reports.

The victim, Farah Deeba, was in her sixties, and her husband, Kazi Abdul Matin, is a retired wing commander of the Bangladesh Air Force.

Police discovered her body at a house on Road No. 10 in DOHS on Sunday afternoon, as stated by Pahan Chakma, assistant commissioner of the DMP Pallabi Zone. He indicated that the investigation is being treated as a priority.

"It appears the incident occurred in the morning," Chakma said. "When we were alerted, we arrived in the afternoon to find the body with her hands and legs tied. Initially, there were no visible signs of injury."

At the time of the incident, Farah Deeba was home alone. Her daughter returned in the afternoon and called the police after finding her mother's body. The family also reported that some items were missing from the house.

Regarding the circumstances surrounding the murder, Chakma confirmed that the police are actively investigating the case. "We are hopeful that we will apprehend the perpetrator soon."
