Hasina, Quader, Kamal sued in murder case in Narsingdi

A murder case was filed on Sunday against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and 350 unnamed persons with a Narsingdi court.

Angur Mia, brother-in-law of labourer Zaman, 17, who was killed in firing allegedly by the Awami League cadres, lodged the case with the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Rakibul Haque.

The court ordered the Madhabdi Police Station to register the case in connection with the killing of Zaman, son of Shahidul Islam of Deouldangra village under Nandail Police Station of Narsingdi.

The case details said that Zaman received gunshots on July 21 when he was taking part in a student-public protest in front of Meherpara Union Parishad under Madhabdi Police Station in Narsingdi.

When the agitating students and people were chanting slogans against the repression and fascist activities of the last Awami League government, a gang of 300 to 350 terrorists attacked on them with sticks and firearms at the directives of the party top leaders. Several bullets ripped through the body of Zaman including his belly.

The agitating students first took bullet -hit Zaman to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital from where he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated. He succumbed to his injuries at the DMCH on July 25.
