Injured victims of the anti-discrimination movement have relocated to Shyamoli, blocking roads to demand medical treatment abroad.
Earlier, the demonstrators had obstructed traffic in front of the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Pangu Hospital) and the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital.
The protest leaders have set a deadline of 4:00 PM for the government to address their demands; failure to do so will prompt a march toward the Secretariat. Some protesters have even hinted at extreme measures, including self-harm.
Around 11:30 AM on Sunday, the injured activists moved from Pangu Hospital to the Shyamoli intersection, where they continued chanting slogans. Addressing journalists, protest leaders declared, "We are giving an ultimatum until 4:00 PM. If no one contacts us by then, we will march towards the Secretariat."
Protester Mohammad Sharif acknowledged that their road blockade is causing public inconvenience but insisted that they have no other option. "The interim government has left us with no choice, and our struggles have gone unnoticed," he said.
